Information and prerequisites.

This plugin enables a user to add the small “Add to Google” widget button on a WordPress blog, without editing the source code by hand. The “Add to Google” button permits a user to add your blog headlines to their igoogle or Google Reader page.

This plugin was created on WordPress 2.2, and isn’t guaranteed to work on previous WordPress versions. In particular, this plugin will NOT work on WordPress version which do not support widgets.

Installation et Configuration

• Upload and unzip the “googlink” directory to the “/wp-content/plugins/” directory of your WordPress installation.
• Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress. The plugin should be visible and named “Google Button Widget”.

• Click on “Presentation” menu then “Widgets”. The button “Add to Google” should be visible in the Widgets list. Drag and drop the button to include it in your WordPress page.
• Click on the small icon in the “Add to Google” widget, and edit the link to your own site. Be careful to enter the path to the RSS feed instead of your home page.

Your readers can now add your blog to their igoogle or Google Reader page !
